Learning never exhausts the mind.

Leonardo da Vinci

Starting this new Watercolour study on Butterflies and today’s pick is the most frequently spotted Butterfly in North America , Monarch.

These are commonly called wanderer and common tiger. The wings of these butterflies have an exotic orange, black and white.

I have always been fascinated with these tiny, beautiful, eye-catching, colourful species.Taking my fascination to the next level by painting Watercolour study journal of these species.

Monarch was my first pick for the study. I tried painting them in different postures. Will be trying similar ones in future too. Looking forward to learn and paint more of these exotic species.
