Step 1
Prepare the Newspaper -You can start by tearing the newspaper into small pieces,I have used a whole newspaper but you can tear them into pieces and use them. Try to tear them with your hands instead of cutting it with a scissor. This gives it a better look.

Step 2
Place your Canvas on a surface which can be easily cleaned or on trash bags, because the Mod Podge can get everywhere. Start applying a coat of Mod Podge on to the canvas.

Step 3
Now start sticking the pieces of Newspaper on to the canvas. Make sure to stick all the bits and pieces without leaving any corners. Once you stick them cover them again with a layer of Mod Podge.

And if its a whole Newspaper like the one i have used, then slowly place it starting from one end to another and try to avoid the wrinkles by placing it slowly. And remove the wrinkles if any by rolling the scale slowly over it.Cover the stuck surface again with a layer of Mod Podge.

Step 4
Let it dry for few hours probably around 4 hours before you start Painting. You can paint anything of your choice ranging from as simple as a heart to a flock of Birds!

Step 5
Let the paint dry, for a minimum of two to three days before finishing it with Acrylic Gloss medium which protects your Art work.
