ಯುಗಾದಿ ಔತಣದ ಕೂಟ ೨೦೧೮, ಸಿಯಾಟಲ್ – Ugadi 2018

OK, today’s post is quite an old update, but then I just wanted to post, even if it was a tad late. Ugadi festival brings back a lot of memories for me. New clothes, mango and neem leaves, flowers, spring season and Holige.

Its been five years since we moved to USA and Ugadi hasn’t been the same for us. However, we try to do what we can, but this time it was different.

In these five years, have been part of a lot of events, but none could match the one which I attended this Ugadi by Sahyadri Kannada Sangha. The number of people, brilliance in planning and also executing an event so big, was commendable.

It was also special cause Pratibimba Nataka Ranga spread her baby wings for the first time in this event.

An event from which I came back tired yet satisfied and happy. Made some beautiful memories and also could feel so much of joy positive energy. Thanks to all the volunteers and Sahyadri Kannada Sangha for organizing such an event.

ಇಂದು ಯುಗಾದಿ ಔತಣದ ಕೂಟ,
ಬಾಳೆ ಎಲೆ‌ಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಊಟ,
ಪುಟ್ಟು ಮಕಳ ಕುಣಿತ,
ರಂಗೋಲಿಯ, ರಂಗಿನ ಆಟ.

ಸೀರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿನುಗುತಿದ್ದ ವನಿತೆಯರು,
ನಾವೇನು ಕಮ್ಮಿ, ಎಂದು ಪಂಚೆ-ಷರ್ಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಡಸರು ಎಲಾದಕ್ಕು ಸೈ, ನಮ್ಮದಿದು ಎಂದು ದುಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು,
ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಲಾಸಕ್ತರು.

ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮರುಜೀವಿಸಿದೆ,
ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಂಡೆ,
ಸಿಯಾಟಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸೊಗಡನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆ,
ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಲ್ಲೇ, ಇರುವೇ ಎಂದು ಭಾವುಕಳಾದೆ.

ಸಹ್ಯಾದ್ರಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘದ ಭಾಗವದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕನ್ನಡ ವ್ರಿಂದದವರಿಗು ಈ ಔತಣ ಕೂಟವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು.
