Today’s post is Watercolour- Pattada Gombe/ Marapachai dolls. Inspired by my Pattada Gombe set, I painted this.
Dasara or Navrathri is the Nada habba of Karnataka State in India. I have these fond memories of my mom celebrating this festival by placing dolls, and preparing sweets and savouries for 10 days. Every year it used to be a different theme.
Hope this painting reminds you of all the pomp and show,and transports you to a happy place.
Materials required:
- Savvanah Sohne watercolours.(Smart set 42 colour)
- I used cold pressed 300gsm Canson xl Watercolor paper
- Round Paint brush(Watercolour)
- Liner Paint brush(Watercolour)
- Pencil to sketch
- Painters tape
