My keen interest in knowing the history of different art forms from different parts of India, made me learn more about Chittara art. Here is my take on Tirugemane Chittara
It took 4 hours to complete this drawing and I used sharpie fine tip pen for drawing the same.A chariot-like vehicle is used in the temples of Karnataka to take the idols of god and goddess in procession. The birds on the vehicle escort the God/ Goddess in the procession, while the tribal men are pulling the chariot with ropes.
My take on Hasegode Chittara Painting: I took five hours to complete and I used Sharpie fine tip pen. Accidentally I tumbled upon this beautiful folk art from my birth state in India. When I learnt more about the art form I realized the intricate and the amount of patience the Deewaru women put, in creating this Art.
