Watercolour- Lighthouse

By | February 16, 2019

As promised am back with my second post on watercolour painting and this time it is Watercolor Lighthouse.

In this post, will be discussing about the materials I used in this painting. To achieve a professional grade watercolor painting, materials you use are as important as the techniques.

Materials I used for this painting:

  1. Using Student grade water colors, may not yield you the same quality as professional and you may find difficulty in mixing colors. I use Winsor and Newton Cotman colors which I ordered on Amazon. This set comes with a round paint brush
  2. You cant use any paper for watercolors. I use cold pressed 300gsm Canson xl Watercolor paper.
  3. Round Paint brush
  4. Pencil to sketch
  5. Sharpie fine tip for detailing

These are the basic materials I have been using, hope this helps you guys too. If you have any queries, please feel free to comment and will be happy to share what I know.
